We sail across the waters for plunder and for war
We use the same swift winds as our fathers did before
We fight for our glory and the honor of our home
For if we die in battle, to Valhalla we shall go
We sail up to the hamlet, so peaceful and serene
Embrace the local people, their ribs we spread as wings
Their innards drip onto their heads, for Odin they endure
We nail their heathen leather up to the oaken doors
With women we shall have our way, their children we will teach
It makes a warrior smile when the weak ones they do weep
The men that are not slain wear shackles on their feet
To serve our people hand and foot up to the Age of Sleep
Their temples are a pyre that light the nighttime sky
It shimmers on the snow and the blood that's in our eyes
We take the fortune from the town, release a mighty howl
The winds begin to sweep us home, we'll make our people proud
