Soram chose to voluntarily drop his knighthood on 6/25/2016. He stated "To the kingdom of the rising winds, from this day forward you should address me only as soram or hey old man I will answer to both. I'm no longer a knight and should not be address as such for I have dropped my belt . This was my choice and I have nothing but respect for the circle of knights and the men and woman who make up that organization .
