The chapter was founded in September, 2006. some of the founding members are still part of the shire, including Jonathan Stevens (Lord Edge Swiftblade), and his wife Marjorie (Willow Swiftblade).

Our shire has typically been defined by its love of combat. Ours is less of a role-playing land, but its members are very competitive and enjoy getting the most out of their characters. Minion, Ditching, and Capture the Flag are games that appear frequently, but we also love a good scenario battle!

There have not been any recent news organizations involved with our shire, but since our shire practices in a very public area, we have a lot of onlookers each week. The location of the park and our playing area draw in a lot of people, coupled with the fact that we have solid, reliable practices each week. Many members actively recruit among friends and family, and at Marshall University nearby. This summer has also seen the use of fliers to advertise in nearby comic shops and hobby stores.
