Sometimes a game of Deadly Downs is the result of finding a [Special Friend]. Obviously this is an illegal activity, much like dueling in the 1800’s. I suppose that is why it is mostly played on [IK] Ditch fields at night.

From The Stick Jock's Dictionary - A "game" played by two people who are attempting to hurt one another while fighting. The point is to make the other person quit the field. Sometimes a game of Deadly Downs is the result of finding a Special Friend. Obviously this is an illegal activity, much like dueling in the 1800’s. I suppose that is why it is mostly played on IK Ditch fields at night.
