Background
Scalpel and Broadsword is a Goldenvale centered podcast which, while staying focused on Goldenvale, tries to bring in conversation that applies to Amtgard in general. The two hosts of the show, Akrith and Bowen, are both players with more than ten years invested in the Kingdom of Goldenvale.
The show's title was chosen based on a comparison of Akrith and Bowen as problem solvers; as the saying went "Akrith is the surgeon who sees a diseased finger and carefully removes said finger, Bowen is the warrior who sees a diseased finger and cuts off the hand, making sure no more fingers become diseased."
