Curse was a wizard spell found in the 6.0 rulebook and earlier, it was a spell which killed an indicated target within 50 feet.
It has been replaced by Finger of Death which has the same effect.
Some argue its incantation was quicker. To cast Curse, a mage would say "I curse thee" x 5 (as opposed to "I call for your death" x 3). That's the same # of syllables, but it can be slurred/blurred quicker. A quick incantation might sound like "I curseycurseycurseycursey"...
