An Alternate Class refers to Classes which, while not a part of any Official Amtgard Rules of Play versions, were allowed in certain Kingdoms to allow for more variety in both Character Design and Battlegame Tactics.
Examples
Although throughout Amtgard there were many Alternate Classes, not every class was allowed to be played in every Kingdom.

Although individual Kingdoms can no longer add classes to the game, many of the Dor Un Avatar suppliments contain updated rules for these "Alt Classes" which, with proper permisson, can be played as a "Monster" for the day.
