In 2006, Dangus began to focus more heavily on the martial aspects of the game. By 2008 he'd acquired five orders of the warrior and began to develop his own approach and philosophy towards fighting. In 2009 Dangus was introduced to Belegarth, whose culture of hard hitting, grappling and hard partying appealed to the young warrior. So it was for the better part of a decade that Dangus put all his focus in to this new direction: forming friendships and rivalries all over the country. During this time Dangus founded the Unit (see: Fighting Company) Catalyst along with Bhakdar, Sipris, Acorn, Rocca, Huma, Sare and Sampson. Today, this unit boasts a roster of nearly 30 active members and have achieved victories at large scale events such as Chaos Wars, Battle For The Ring and Armageddon. During his time away from Amtgard, Dangus still maintained friendships and relationships with many of the people he had known from his days in amtgard, making his relationship to foam fighting a truly cross-game affair. Today, Dangus attends regional amtgard parks as well as local Belegarth events and can be found on ditch lines and bear pits all over the Pacific North West. |
