2.5 Inch and 2 Inch Rule

A 2.5" ring is used to check a weapon.
  1. No part of a weapon’s striking surface, whether the tip, the edge, the face or any other part, may protrude more than 1.5” through a two-and-a-half inch (2.5”) ring when uncompressed.
  2. No part of a weapon’s non-striking surface such as cross guards or pommels may protrude more than 1.5” through a two-inch (2”) ring when uncompressed.
