Zombie tag is a variant on Fox across the river, minus the river.
One person starts off as the zombie, and anyone they slay joins them. As in Fox across the river, the last human wins the round, and becomes the initial zombie for the next round.
Zombies are encouraged to identify themselves as such by saying the word "Brains" frequently.
- Variant 1: Zombies have a base (a tree for example) that they must touch to reanimate after being "killed".
- Variant 2: Zombies have a short regeneration count, generally 10 seconds.
An optional rule independant of the above is to forbid the zombies from running. In this case, it is best to define a limited playing area.
