Heraldry
History
Hyborea was one of the oldest Houses/Units in the Dagorhir Realm of Middle~Earth. It was formed in 1983 under Lord Halberd (Gary Bryant). Members of the Unit decided to try their hand at Amtgard in 2002…
After visiting with the Kingdom of the Rising Winds it was decided to start their own Shire located in Danville IL. The BLBOD signed their contract July 30, 2003 and the Shire of Hyborea’s first official meeting was on August 21,2003. Hyborea quickly Joined the Kingdom of the Rising Winds and began to grow. Hyborea continued to work closely with Middle~Earth and shared many of their members. The two groups assisted each other yet ran separate fields on different days with separate officers.
