The Church of Skin
”Blessed be the Skin Gods” Founded by our Leaders Father, we strive to bring his vision of peace and prosperity to all through taking care of the skin.
Purpose
To protect the skin at all cost in the name of the Skin Gods, and support self growth and imporvment in anyway you want to grow. Blessed be the Skin Gods, Blessed be Chāllā.
History
In the beginning, it was the skin takers father, Fatus, (pronounced fate-us) who ran the church with his child behind him to take up the reins at his eventual passing. They were peaceful, never even knowing how to use a weapon, and no weapons were allowed on their sacred ground. They’re church worked as a spa for the neighbouring shire to gain funds to help get better things for the spa. Generally very peaceful.
One day, a holy war broke out around them leaving their peaceful church in the middle. The crops they grew were trampled, their livestock killed, all clients of the spa stopped coming in due to the war surrounding the church.Fatus donned his white and gold robes, and his golden mask of the Gods, with his oath in his heart of bringing peace and prosperity to all and helping those in need, he threw open the doors of the church and stepped out, yelling at the soldiers fighting that they could end this war, and we offer sanctuary and forgiveness for those who seek it.
The skin taker stepped out following their father in their own white and gold robes, only to have their father blood taint their white robes. And as they watched their fathers mask fall and shatter, they looked up at the ones who had done this and ran back into the church, slamming and locking the doors.Years went by. The church stayed silent for 6 months. All dressed in grey, no music or arts were seen or heard.
During those 6 months, the skin taker hadn't been seen. Even those directly under them who were to help were forbidden from their chambers. In the 6 months of complete isolation, something broke. They committed the ultimate sacrifice.They swore to never have children, and to ensure this, they themselves removed all reproductive organs. They looked at the now finished golden mask of their own, and they smiled. An oath of peace was one that came at a price. And the price was paid. In their eyes, the only way to have peace is to ensure that no religion can have that much power. If there is only one religion, there will be no war.They got dressed in their finest mourning robes and donned the mask fashioned after their fathers. And as they swung open the door and looked at their people, they knew they made the right choice.
Only the best weapons would be used, and they would learn to fight. Man woman and child, all fighting in the name of their God's. And the oath for peace was broken.A new oath was made. One for vengeance.And as the war is ending, and the skin taker tries to go back to their peaceful ways, they can't help but feel that familiar bloodlust of war creeping up their back.
The 13 Commandments
Spoken to me by our Gods, these are the rules of how to be accepted into Giminès. Rules to live by for our mortal health, and quality of both mortal and immortal life. With these you may pass to Giminès with no regret of your time on this, our mortal plane.
I. Thou shalt not kill II. Thou shalt not steal III. Thou shall protect the skin IV. Thou shall throw it back for the lord V. Hydrate or die-drate VI. Get on your knees for the lord VII. Thou shall heal the injured weather by thy sword or another. VIII. Thou shall help take care of thy neighbours skin IX. Thou shall help all, even if they differ in love, shape, or skin. X. Thou shall use thy words before thy sword. XI. Man shall not lie with child. XII. Do not force anything upon another. No means no. Stop means stop. XIII. The Holy day is your day of prayer and self-focus. Praise the Gods by caring for your skin.
