===Ranks of the Spartans===
The Spartans are very Rank based. Each rank has a corresponding greek name. The ranks are as follows.

Company Commander/Strategos

Company Executive Officer/Polemarch

Company Officer/Enomotarch

Company Sergeant/Hyperetes

Company Full Member/Tetrarch

Company Petitioning Member/Ephebe

===Promotions===
Promotions in the Company are very odd. Several ways are used. Sometimes you are promoted out of necessity, but usually after a demonstration of skill and merit on and off the battle field. Contributions to the Company and Amtgard. 

Petitioning Member to Full Member: Spartans go under a POP or Period of Petitioning for 3-12 months, before they are awarded their lamda. At the time of advancement, they must pass a knowledge, fighting, amtgard, and command examination. 

Corporal the forgotten rank: Corporals are full members appointed by the sergeants. Corporals serve as the sergeants assistant in training.

Sergeant: Sergeants serve as cohort executive officers. Their are only one or two per cohort. 

Lieutenants: Lieutenants are commanding officers of cohorts. They have complete command over their cohorts and can decide how it is run.

The Company Executive Officer: The company Executive Officer, runs and administrates the company.

===The High Priest of Aries===

The high priest of aries is a give me position given to the oldest member of the Spartans, [[Mitsuhide]]! He has been a member since the inception of the Spartans. So he has been given the title and rank of high priest of aries. This position has no greater authority then a lieutenant.
The high priest of Aries wears a red braid around the cuff of the dress tunic.
