History

House X01 (pronounced "Ex-oh-one") is an Amtgard house dedicated to fostering a healthy community for players whose characters or mundane personalities identify as any gender outside of the binary. It was founded on July 10th, 2016.

X01's colors come from the nonbinary flag. The name means "outside the binary", in which the binary is 01 - you got it - like the programming language! "X01" also represents the types of education that nonbinary people are often asked to do to help others understand our community: explanations of "nonbinary 101", ...201, etc.
