Origin
Abigail Windsong born March 18th, 1444 in Poole, Dorset, England. Daughter of Royal Navy Captain Andrew Claude Windsong and Elizabeth Youngers-Windsong.
August 12th, 1465.
The morning air was crisp with a hint of frost. A white mare was loaded with everything Abigail would ever need to start a new life. As she mounts her horse, she takes one last look at her home, says a quite goodbye and starts her journey. As night sets in Abigail is struggling to stay awake. She sets up camp in a small clearing next to a babbling brook. With her mare tied to a tree, Abigail quickly falls asleep. She dreams of her home in Corfe Castle and the things she left behind. Abigail is awakened by the voice of an old woman and a sharp pain at her side. As she opened her eyes, she is temporarily blinded by the sunlight filtering through the tree canopy.
“Are you alive?” asked an old woman. The sharp pain that Abigail was feeling was a sharpened walking stick the old woman was using to poke her. “I say again, ARE YOU ALIVE?” she spoke louder.
“Yes” Abigail replied.
The old woman put down her walking stick and placed her hand on her hips. “Good. Now tell me who you are and why you are out here on your own? There is not another shire for miles.”
Confused and still unsure of her surroundings. Abigail says, “My name is Abigail. I left Poole and was traveling North when I became tired and set up camp.”
On closer inspection, the landscape looked different from when she laid down to sleep. The old woman replied “Poole...never heard of it. My dear I think you are lost. Come with me and I will get you a hot meal and take you to the Sheriff he will know what to do.”
“The Sheriff?” Abigail asked. “Where am I?”
“Why the outskirts of Five Oaks my dear. Best shire in all the Rising Winds.”
These were not places Abigail was familiar with but the old woman was kind and insisted she go with her. Abigail was not sure what would happen next but she had a feeling she was on the right path.
Biography
Abigail was introduced to Amtgard in 2001 by close friend and college schoolmate Lord Rune. She fell in love with the game and it's people; which pushed her to run for a park level office in 2003 and a kingdom level office in 2004. She was on hiatus from 2006 to 2011 due to mundane reasons. She has since returned and is playing at Madoc's Keep.
