"I'm just a bard. Honestly." -Nirama Threewinds

Nirama of Crying Heavens, Neverwinter

Biography

Born the daughter of a wandering wizard and a seemingly common woman of no prospects, the girl called Nirama grew up with a singularly unique upbringing. Educated at her father's knee, she learned quickly her lessons in lesser magic. From her mother, she received tutorship in the ways of petty theft and con artistry. In their travels across the many lands, Nirama discovered and nurtured an unparalleled love of tales and folklore. At the tender age of fourteen summers, she set aside her parents life of aimless traveling and went out on her own, aiming to become a bard of great renown.

It was three long years before she came to the kingdom of Neverwinter, and longer still for her to arrive in Crying Heavens. As she passed through the territory, she came across Calibarus, a monk of the Temple of the Spider. Intrigued with the possibility she presented, Calibarus invited her to return with him to the temple. Under his wing, Nirama became a devotee of the Spider; she looks upon Calibarus as the older brother she never had. Her allegiance goes first and foremost to him, and through him, to Mortis.

Maybe to her own good fortune, Nirama took absence from the shire of Crying Heavens shortly before the chaotic events involving the slaughter of an innocent child -- departed, as it were, on a quest for more stories. Before she left, her parting words were: "I'll see you around." Calibarus suspects she'll return in her own time.

Personality

What she lacks in height, Nirama makes up for in devious nature. She comes across as quiet, attentive and soft-spoken; those who know better have learned not to cross her. While her primary occupation as a bard and story-teller leads some to underestimate her, she's also a quick-witted, sharp-tongued thief and liar. It's said by some that her smiles are at once, both innocent, and obviously demented. Her penchant for inflicting pain on those who upset her is well-known.

In the field of battle, she pretends passivity; she shies away from open conflict. Still, when there's a need, she'll fight. She doesn't mind a bit of blood-shed and doesn't run from the idea of killing. The enemy of her friend is her enemy as well--it's that simple. Alignments mean nothing. As long as she deems it necessary to the continuance of her way of life, nothing is beyond her.

It's also whispered--in some circles far out of her hearing--that Nirama is something of a loose woman, spreading her wiles amongst both fellows and enemies, sometimes just before betraying them to their deaths. The validity of these claims is unsubstantiated.

Other Infomration

-Nirama is sometimes called "Bruja" by the members of the temple, most notably Calibarus.
