Biography
Terras Ember came to Barad Duin long ago when it was still just a small Duchy, and predates the Barad Duin split. Having come from cold Elven lands to the far North, she preferred the warm climate Barad Duin offered. She fought in many battles including the 'Quest for the Sword of Frost' and in the 'Great War' against Nithanalorn's brother Krytton. She was known far more for her fighting antics than for fighting prowess and even to this day people say she is among the most 'colorful' people they know. Terras lived in Barad Duin for many years serving as the ward of Sir Nithanalorn and lady in waiting to his wife Asil, the black dragon. After Nithanalorns departure, she even served as the first Grand Duchess and the first Queen of Barad Duin. After stepping down as Queen, she retreated to her lands at the base of the mountain that serves as Asils' aerie, where she lived quietly for some time.
Never being one for great solitude, she was later seen in Drandmir and eventually became a full member of their populous. She was often seen in the company of Dame Kaitlyn, Sir Kharas, and various trolls and purple fairies. She spent most of her time as an artisan, becoming heralded as a supreme garber and leatherworker, as well as public servant, sharing her skills and garments with many young player. She was knighted in the order of the flame.
Terras Ember also played other characters, Asil being her second most predominant. Stories have been told of Asil Anteara Astirith, the Evil Black Dragon of the Northern Mountains, for as long as anyone could remember. How she had almost destroyed all the Centaurs of Barad-Duin, how she had a fondness for eating fairy wings and a hatred of humans. Many were the stories of those who dared stray to close to her mountain and found themselves running for their lives or worse yet, praying for a quick death. It seems acid dragons have a tendency to play with their food before eating it.
The only person brave enough to willingly seek her out was Sir Nithanalorn Draconis Dignitatis. It was said that his people once worshiped Dragons and could speak their tongue. He had ventured into the mountains to find Asil and ask for her help when his brother Krytton had invaded. No one really knows what bargain he made with the great beast in exchange for her assistance. Whatever it was, it worked. In the great battle when Krytton and his forces were forced to retreat to the great white tower of Barad Duin, it was Asil who wrapped her body around the tower and kept him then escaping. After the Wizard Black, Nithanalorn and the Barad Duin forces wiped out Krytton, Asil let go of the tower, leaving it Black as pitch to this very day.
