AmtWiki is not censored. The use of offensive material is reflective of the culture of Amtgard, which is an organization that requires participants to be 14 or older for the majority of group functions. While there are younger members, often the children of Amtgarders, it is not the responsibility of AmtWiki to censor its populace. However, offensive material that is irrelevant to the purpose of AmtWiki, or is placed in a way that is disruptive, may be removed.

How to treat offensive material

Disclaimers should not be used in articles that contain potentially or patently offensive material.

Discussions about whether to include a vulgar or explicit image or verbal expression are often heated. As in all discussions on AmtWiki, it is vital that all parties practice civility and assume good faith. Labeling content with such terms as "vulgar" or responses to content with such terms as "censorship" tends to inflame the discussion and should be avoided. Objective terminology is more helpful than subjective terminology.

However, this does not mean that Wikipedia should include material simply because it is offensive, nor does it mean that offensive content is exempted from regular inclusion guidelines. "Not censored" does not give special favor to offensive content.
