Warlord Peter the Quick of Gryphon's Perch under the Rising Winds
Biography
Peter the Quick (BKOR) started fighting in Belegarth in late 2001, in Ames, Iowa.
In 2009 he branched out to Amtgard in Indiana, and after meeting Sir Spyn he joined Rogue Company, which inspired them to start a Belegarth branch of the company, with Peter as it's Captain.
In 2012 Peter and his northern Rogues left Rogue Company due to a difference in leadership styles. He founded a reformed unit under new colors, now known as The Amyr.
At the Belegarth event Octoberfest, in 2009, Peter was knighted as a Knight of Rhûn, by Beauregaurd Brutus Elevo, the Implacable (BKOR).
in November 2010, he was named Warlord by Emperor Dekland, thus making him the only fighter to hold a Warlord title and a Belegarth Knighthood title. If his Knight of the Sword is achieved, he will be the first Bel/Amt cross-game fighting knight.
Today Peter resides in Iowa where he still makes events in the Midwest and cross games as much as he is able.
I'm a true through and through "stick-jock" I believe in furthering foam fighting. Learning all i can from anyone i can learn from. Pushing the ideas of technique, body mechanics, aggressive shield work, both ranging and close proximity fighting (known as grinding). Learning to control your movements and to influence your opponents movements by center line manipulation, feints, stance and guard positioning.
Pushing myself, my ideas of foam fighting, spreading my knowledge and bettering foam fighting as a whole are my utmost goals in foam fighting. Big influences in my fighting carrier have been Sir Spyn Thrift N'than, Ed the Dread, Daemarth of Henneth-Annun, Brutus of Henneth-Annun, Sir Kenneth, Sir Beauregaurd Brutus Elevo the Implacable, Ex roommate Mekoot Bhakdar, and long time childhood friend Falkor of Henneth-Annun.
"I believe in a very structured style of fighting. Based on sound defensive and reading skills, and forcing your opponent into predictable situations which herald predictable results. Under Belegarth rules, i believe in very physical, aggressive, offensive shield work and using correct body mechanics to deliver significant force."
