- 1.) When a Weapon is termed "Black" it means that that Weapon is poisonous, or will result in death. A hold over from the Dagorhir Rulebook that has little or no meaning today.
- 2.) If a Sash is black, it means that the wearer is playing and assassin.
- 3.) If a strip is black it means Poison or other Death Magic.
- 4) If someone is wearing White face paint and a Black armband they are probably a Vampire.
- 5). The colour black in heraldry is called Sable.
