"Couch healer" refers to a healer who sits down and hands out enchantments, heals, and occasionally summons a fallen comrade to be resurrected. They will often take a death when an enemy approaches them.
Other casting classes have "couch" variants as well, but are less common. "Couch Bards" are all but unheard of.
