History

The wind blows faint through the trees that dot the grove. A company of men can be seen walking in the sun, carrying timbers, hammers, and shovels. Sweat stained shirts marked a long days labor in the heat. When the cloud bank finally breaks and rolls away, the light that comes forth falls down on the newly built village of Whitetail Hollow, being erected in middle of the green valley. Signs are being posted all around, in neighboring towns, hammered into the forks of roads, hung from the bark of trees, all saying the same: Whitetail Hollow is come again! A place of refuge for the road weary, and a place of friendship. No land is born in safety, and it wont be an easy path to re-tame this overgrown country and make it once again sing with the deeds of heroes, but make no mistake, it will sing, and sing proud. Come all and be merry, for the Shire of Whitetail Hollow is reborn!

The Canton of Whitetail Hollow is a chapter of the live action role-playing game, or L.A.R.P., called Amtgard. Currently, we are small but tight-knit community of players who enjoy all sorts of battlegames and hope to in the future add a crafting section of the community to our fold. There are many chapters of Amtgard in the greater Houston area, so you may ask yourself why should I choose to this particular chapter? The answer to that is simple, we are a true community of friends. We bellieve in having fun first and foremost, we encourage friendly and honorable behavior on the battlefield, and a generally congenial and helpful one off of the field. If you are a power gamer, "griefer", or someone whose interests lay in the realm of power and politics be assured this is NOT the place for you. So, if you are interested in having an awesome time playing all sorts of battle games, hanging out with some really good folks, and being creatively stimulated come out and join us!
