I'm a lean mean.... editing machine ? =) --Linden 11:32, 1 May 2008 (EDT)

Please refrain from adding temporary titles to a players name on their AmtWiki, only awarded Noble Titles should be going there. This helps to keep things as consistent as possible and prevents any confusion if a temporary title is not removed. --Bowen 14:02, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

Tenebrous,

Let me start by saying that your attitude is uncalled for and incredibly unappreciated.

That said, I will move on to the two issues at hand. You have reverted my edits removing temporary titles from your Centerpoint Player Pages; citing "and not even Linden has cared.". I would like to direct you to Linden's most recent edit on the page of player Bino, you will see here clearly that Linden does not feel that temporary titles are appropriate for inclusion upon a nameline, illustrated by her comment "Please do not list transitive titles, on people's name lines, they are subject to change so often that they will inevitably become inaccurate.". In the time I have had the pleasure of working with Linden, she has never struck me as a woman satisfied with a lack of consistency; however that is for her to chime in about. As a fellow Administrator, whom I look up to, I do not think it is responsible for me to not make changes in tandem with her reasonable wishes.

The second issue at hand arises from your comment: "Do me a favor and keep your paws of any pages relating to Centerpoint in the future". As an Administrator of the AmtWiki, my job here is to further the project. Your colorful "suggestion" is not going to change that. I do not edit articles unnecessarily or arbitrarily, I do so with a set purpose, which is to see the project furthered. Should a Centerpoint Page require a change to come into consistency with the rest of the Wiki, I intend to change it.

I believe it to be in the best interest of the AmtWiki to remove the Transitive/Temporary titles from those pages. Linden's past edits indicate that she feels that it should be done, and my edits today are congruent with that idea. I have not reverted the pages to my changes as of yet, as I wanted to give you the chance to do it.

Finally, I understand that you check these pages often. Please keep in mind that your activity on the AmtWiki, while greatly appreciated, does not mitigate our work to keep Player Entries as consistent as possible. --Bowen 17:45, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

I would have no issue if allowing transitive titles were made acceptable. The two issues that I currently have though are as follow. First and foremost, if Linden makes an edit for a specific reason, I respect that decision and use it as the rule when I encounter a similar circumstance. Secondly, while I understand that your activity level is much higher than most people, which again, is appreciated, when looking at consistency, we cannot hold thousands of articles to one standard and allow a handful to be held unaccountable to that standard.

It is not a personal attack, please do not view it as such; as callous as this may sound, when I see an article, I see just an article. I don't consider who it belongs to, who edits it, or how often it is updated. To do so would be bias and go against the ideas behind Wikis --Bowen 18:09, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

It has now been 7 days since your inquiry on E-Sam; I believe the resulting answers from both active Admin as well as the Owner of the site sufficiently explained why we do not want transitive titles on player pages. As a courtesy to you, I am providing you with the opportunity to make the changes yourself; I will check again before the 22nd to ensure these changes have been made. --Bowen 15:41, 19 May 2008 (EDT)

The necessary changes to bring those two articles into sync with the accepted format of player pages have been made. Should you have any questions, please note I am away until the 27th attending Great Eastern --Bowen 14:33, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
