Jack Laughing Boar, is a shadowlander. His homeland is across a strange fog bank far east of the eastern ocean. It is unknown if the Shadowlands are behind the fog or if the fog itself is a large dimensional gate. The Shadowlands is a cursed land full of monsters with a dead sky. The People of this strange land are just as strange as the land itself. They are a cannibalistic culture with an odd set of defense mechanisms. When they consume the flesh of another humanoid they heal at incredible speeds. Their pitch black blood is a thick sludge naturally laced with a small amount of dark mana. The mana in the blood is suspected to aid a shadowlander with their strange healing. Due to generations of exposure and strange organs they are immune to most poisons and diseases. Most of them share a strange camouflage, they look perfectly human, with the exception of their black blood. Some believe that the Shadowlanders were descended from humans that became trapped there during an event known as the Divine Cataclysm. There is more to cover on this subject but we are not here to discuss them.

Jack Laughing Boar was known Simply as Jack when he was found by Lord Caim. Lord Caim was In the Shadowlands for reasons unasked during the Festival of Horrors. Caim Found Jack throwing iron barrels at passers by. They spoke of combat techniques used in each other's homeland. Lord Caim Invited Jack to Amtgard, realizing too late that even by Shadowland’s standards, Jack was a violent and sadistic psychopath.

After Caim left the Shadowlands for home, Jack followed by catching a ride on a viking ship. The trip made Jack sick and irritable. He ate half of the ship’s food supply and dumped the rest out of spite. The crew tried to kill him, but they were unprepared for a Shadowlander suicidal fighting style and quick healing. As the last survivor Jack crashed the ship into a crag of rocks tearing the ship to pieces. After two hours of wandering, Jack had his first encounter with a large boar. Jack underestimated it and was quickly gored. A warrior from Bloodwyrm Haven viewed the incident was horrified at Jack’s laugh. Imagine this image: a pale stranger, bleeding black blood, organs crushed, torn and spread all over, a large dead boar face inside the stranger and a loud manic laugh echoing all around.

To his surprise, Jack walked out of a nearby tree. The viewing warrior recovered his composure and explained to Jack that in Amtgard, some people are Immortal to a degree. He congratulated Jack calling him Laughing Boar. To test that theory, Jack ambushed that warrior with a rock and ate his throat. The understandably upset warrior pinned Jack to a nearby tree by putting a sword through Jack's chest.

Jack returned to the Shadowlands to retrieve his family Silvis Stricken, Fenris Red, Ava Farsight and a couple of revered matriarchs. The fates of his family are theirs alone. The matriarchs opened a smuggling line. Red’s fate is currently unknown. Ava Partnered with nobles and left Bloodwyrm Haven to a more successful kingdom. Silvis Kept to himself as a professional assassin, the only trail he left consisted of bodies.

An elf by the name of Trypano Phix saw that Jack was somewhat talented with a greatsword and recruited Jack as his apprentice; realizing too late That Jack is a violent and sadistic psychopath. He was an official member shortly after, everyone realizing too late that Jack was a violent sadistic psychopath.

When the War Dragons pulled out of Bloodwyrm Have Jack remained in the derelict hall that the War Dragons left behind. Later Jack went inactive and lived in the basement of the War Dragons where Caim locked him in after an incident involving a large sack of dead rats. Later when the War Dragons went to war, Jack remained as a noncombatant. The War Dragons decided to use Jack’s sadistic tendencies/creativity and made him their torturer. Then out of boredom he started experimenting on his victims living and dead alike. He made horrible creations like the Steel Dutches, The Zombie Jukebox, The Sail of Souls, Helios’s Raven and many more things of this nature. He invented the Storm Giant style consisting of twin greatswords.

Like any War Dragon he has his own personal forge. Actually he has two. One made of flesh, bone, elemental crystals, spellbooks and small metal tools: this is a basic forge in the Shadowlands. His other forge is actually near pocket size, when asked about it he explained that when he was sane he’d watch Giants to learn how they forge for people of average humanoid height. Jack uses his tiny giant’s forge to make beautiful magic infused pins, needles and other small tools. His skills on a regular steel and iron forge is something to be desired. Jack weapons are basically improvised scraps that make dwarfs vomit. His Shadowland forge is used to manipulate flesh. Jack is currently making his return to combat in Three Rivers Sanctuary where the rest of the scattered Havenites.
