Persona Biography
Aelfgar Walfson was an Anglo-Saxon who lived in the times just after the Norman conquest of England. His unique lineage, that of hereditary werewolves, was kept a closely-guarded secret by his family, one which gave them an advantage in battle. Like his forefathers before him he became a proud warrior clad in mail. He answered the call to the Crusades in the Middle East, hoping to prove himself to his Norman company in battle. It is from this fighting company that he received his trademark white kiteshield with red cross. His spear, Aescear, was a family heirloom passed down to him by his mother. With these tools in hand he fought ferociously, defending his allies in battle and earning him the nickname "Ironshield".
At some point during the crusade, Aelfgar's company began to realize his lycanthropic nature. They reported this to their commanders, who ordered Ironshield be captured. He resisted and ended up injuring several of his allies. Fearing for his life, he fled into the nearby mountains to hide. He was never seen again. It is said that Ironshield took refuge in a cave in which he found a magic lamp, which took him to a faraway valley in everlasting state of autumn...
Biography
Ironshield has been playing Amtgard since Fall 2014, but has done boffering since 2009. His signature piece of equipment is his 4-foot by 2-foot crusader-style kite shield, which has served him faithfully in many battles.
He has worked with chainmail since 2009, using his skill for both armor and 'pretty things'.
He was the PM of The Shire of Everautumn Valley, in Tal Dagore.
He is currently attending the Freehold of Windy Keep.
