Fibli the Dwarf

From AmtWiki

Fibli the Dwarf is a NPC created by The Bitter Coast Quest Guild for use in the ongoing Bitter Coast Quest Campaign, which has been told over several reigns.

Fibli once lived in a small village in Bitter Coast, along with his kinsmen the Village Dwarves, who forged weapons, and crafted armor, of which Dwarves were famous for. The village prospered, and Fibli became known as an expert sword-smith, the best that had been seen for a generation.

For reasons unknown, Fibli left the Village Dwarves, headed to the Bitter Coast capital, and set up his own blacksmith business. Upon arriving, Fibli sent the Bitter Coast heroes out to gather the materials he would need to forge "The Sword of Flame". The materials included an enchanted sword, which was once owned by the Fell Druid, and was taken by a greedy Dragon, and kept in his lair; and an enchanted gem, which served as the heart and soul of a mighty Metal-Golem, which was being used as a body-guard, for a former member of the secretive Order of the Smoldering Fist.

After many battles, including defeating a Hill Giant, which wielded the "Maul of the Titans", the heroes of Bitter Coast were able to secure all the materials, and Filbi crafted the "Sword of Flame", which Riven the Healer took for himself.

Fibli would later aid the heroes during the corrupt reign of Sir Darva, while he was possessed by The Warlich of Control. The heroes of Bitter Coast traveled to a gateway to the underworld, to retrieve the soul of Mistress Alaina, whom was executed for treason against Sir Darva. Filbi led them to the spot, but mistakenly informed the heroes that they were safe from the undead while in a small blessed clearing (they were not). Fibli left before the fighting began, and has since returned to his blacksmith shop.

Filbi has a knowledge of magic which is very uncommon for a Dwarf, and forges magic weapons with ease. He also has an uncanny knowledge of the way of various monsters (as demonstrated when he led the heroes to the gate of the Underworld). Because the Village Dwarves were all killed on Darva's order, while he was under the influence of The Warlich of Control, Fibli's past may never be truly known, and Fibli prefers to talk to folk about his latest creations, more than his past.
