Dawn Patrol

The Dawn Patrol, in amtgard terms, is not a film starring Errol Flynn, nor is it an album by Night Ranger, a popular blog, or a song by Megadeth.

Dawn Patrol was a "tradition" at the Gathering of the Clans.

And by Tradition I meant an abomination thankfully done away with.

Basically it involved people who had stayed up all night until daybreak, who would form a group wandering from campsite to campsite, picking up others who had been awake, and doing things of questionable nature, ranging from waking people up who needed sleep (minor) to helping themselves to food and drink left lying around, all the way up to theft of personal property including valuables (major). A couple cases in which they were caught doing this resulted in angry confrontations.

They are featured in the song Father Tom, where he wipes them out.
