Biography

The College of Heraldry is a group of heralds within amtgard that saw a problem in that there existed no interkingdom registration body that oversaw, maintained, regulates and registers heraldic devices.

The College of Heraldry has divided leadership roles.

• The Master Herald, who oversees general leadership within the College of Heraldry, and holds final veto over registration of newly submitted heraldic devices which may prove either problematic or controversial.
• The Chief Registrar, who receives submissions for registration and categorizes by Kingdom and Province, and oversees final review of heraldic devices before registration.
  • The Three Registrars, who are jointly appointed by the Master Herald and Chief Registrar and each oversees registration within a group of Kingdoms.
    • Kingdom Guildmasters of Heraldry, who are automatically granted membership within the College of Heraldry and serve as their Kingdom's lead point of contact with the College. The Kingdom Guildmaster of Heraldry is a Kingdom level guildmaster position and is elected by their individual Kingdoms. In the absence of a Kingdom Guildmaster of Heraldry for a given Kingdom the corresponding vacancy is filled by the corresponding appointed Registrar.
